We are building hardware for cryptography acceleration because we believe that the future of cryptography and decentralization is approaching, with Zero Knowledge Proofs and many more advanced algorithms. These algorithms have the potential to revolutionize how trust, privacy, and identity work in our society, as well as fully connect blockchain with the real world.

The problem is that today’s hardware takes minutes to hours to run them, thereby limiting their widespread use and most powerful use-cases. We need to build the hardware of tomorrow.  

Our goal is to accelerate this new era of cryptography algorithms so they can run in milliseconds. With speed comes scale, connectivity, and everyday usability—making it possible to imagine and build a new future based on new rules for what’s possible, in decentralization and beyond.

Full Custom Physical Design

Our chip team has been around since before Bitcoin was invented, with 16 years of working together designing and producing chips as a cohesive team. Specializing in full-custom design, we avoid using off-the-shelf lego blocks (standard cells) from the foundry and instead design the legos (leaf cells) themselves from scratch, tailored to each application, using a spectacular suite of in-house software that automates, from the bottom up, the exploration of quadrillions of design ideas necessary to create a full-custom design.

We take every design parameter into account so we can fully optimize for what matters most. From algorithms to logic and physical design to thermal/mechanical engineering and fine-tuned firmware to infrastructure requirements and the communities based around the data centers, we design an interdisciplinary and holistic system from first principles based on collaborations with our strategic partners.

Our founding team has a unique perspective on the crypto space and its potential, having been in it since 2011. We believe in the original vision of crypto—creating a world with equal access to social and financial infrastructure for everybody, no matter where they live or who they are. FABRIC HARDWARE 

A New Standard + Vision for Bitcoin Mining

Our first product represents the next generation of Bitcoin mining. We designed the world's most efficient full-custom Bitcoin mining ASIC, co-developed with our proprietary closed-loop immersion cooling system from the ground up to be compatible in any region on Earth, including hot, dry, and dusty environments.

Our goal is to create the best mining hardware that sets new industry standards in energy efficiency – thereby minimizing the ecological impact of Bitcoin mining while maximizing its utility. We see Bitcoin’s value as three-fold: 1) a decentralized and emerging store of value, 2) an alternative, secure base settlement layer of growing importance, and 3) as a subsidy for both renewable energy and robust, reliable energy infrastructure across the world.

In addition to setting the highest energy efficiency standards in the market, Fabric's immersion-native Bitcoin miner enables safe overclocking and can be deployed in environments where traditional air or water cooled systems are often insufficient and costly. With a closed-loop dielectric fluid cooling system, our miner delivers a superior solution to the industry at large and individual stakeholders by eliminating noise pollution and avoiding the need for relying on local water resources. Our miner incudes open firmware API access for our partners and includes a proprietary control system with native functionality that allows for dynamic fine-tuning to achieve the best economics across different profitability and power price-spike scenarios.

Accelerating the Future of Cryptography

Our future-facing product is an advanced cryptography accelerator that will be the world’s first programmable cryptography ASIC. It will run multiple cutting-edge cryptographic algorithms like Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) that are extremely compute-intensive and currently take minutes to hours to run on GPUs. Our accelerator will run these algorithms exponentially faster, enabling far more general and transformative use cases, both in and and out of blockchain.

Founder and CEO

Michael Gao is a serial deep tech entrepreneur. In 2018, he founded Luminous Computing, a photonic AI supercomputing startup backed by Bill Gates, with 100+ employees and >$130M in funding. Prior to that, he studied Applied Mathematics at MIT and dropped out to found AlphaSheets, an early pioneer in the low code/no code space. He has multiple patents in photonics and designed a number of physical design innovations in the Fabric Bitcoin mining system. 

Michael discovered Bitcoin in 2011 when he was 15 years old. Scaling up from 1 BTC mined on his own GPU, he founded and ran a multi-million dollar Bitcoin mining operation, which involved learning electrical engineering and managing a hardware supply chain from his high school dorm room. Prior to Bitcoin, he was a USA Math Olympiad winner and USA Computing Olympiad finalist.

Founder and CTO

Sagar Reddy has 22 years of technical leadership in full-custom chip design and systems architecture. He and his team have designed 100s of full-custom IP blocks and completed over 60 full chip tape-outs for some of the world’s largest companies, including Intel and Samsung, creating IP for everything from medical devices embedded into the human heart, to automotive AI chips for self-driving cars, to the fastest on-chip memories for HPC computing in the latest technology nodes, to radiation hardened IP for satellite communication. He is also responsible for designing the world’s largest embedded magnetic RAM. 

Sagar has patents in memory design and energy optimization techniques, and he specializes in quickly taking concepts to silicon by automating full custom circuit design and layout flows.

Henry Schrader has more than 25 years of technical leadership in hardware and software system solutions. In addition to delivering products from concept to multi-billion-dollar revenue at startups acquired by Cisco and Nokia, he was responsible for system power architecture of the Wafer Scale AI Engine, the largest computer chip ever built.

Previously, he led architecture, hardware, mechanical, and firmware teams to production release of a 32TBps Core Router and brought to market the industry’s first programmable NPU and Edge Router system.

CFO

Uzi Sasson has 25 years of experience leading and advising global corporations from start-up to public entities through international expansion, complex restructurings, capital markets, and synergistic mergers and acquisitions. He most recently served as the CEO and CFO of IXYS Corporation, a $750 million public manufacturer of power semiconductors. Formerly, he was the CEO and Founder of Sagent Management, Vice President of Tax at Mercury Interactive (acquired by Hewlett Packard), Senior Group Manager with Pricewaterhouse Coopers. 

Currently, he is a Board member for VTool LTD and Securepush LTD, with a long history of serving on Boards in the technology industry. He has been an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) since 1992. Mr. Sasson is also a Trustee and the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the World Affairs Organization.
